Art is a healing force. Kindness matters.
Are these ideas related?
I believe the “flow” or "connection” a creative person experiences when making art is related to and grows from the powers of the universe. My experience shows acts of kindness are connected to the source of creation and divine powers in a similar way.
If creativity and kindness separately generate an experience of connection to a greater source, is it possible that creativity and kindness are more deeply related than we usually think about? Do the separate powers of art and kindness have more power and a greater impact when they are combined?
Perhaps, if a creative practice is conducted with a spirit of kindness and a generosity of spirit, its impact can multiply. Art plus kindness produces a sum that is greater than its parts for the artist and the recipient of the kindness.
